Director of National Sales Training & Development

About the role

The Director, National Training & Development (Sales) leads the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of sector‑wide sales training programs. Reporting to senior leadership, this remote position drives sales effectiveness through standardized, repeatable processes and ensures training aligns with the organization’s mission and vision.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Regional Sales Trainers across the nation.
• Partner with senior management, functional leaders, and field managers to develop, customize, approve, and maintain high‑quality sales training curricula.
• Design and facilitate Vestis Strategic Selling (VSS) instructor‑led courses, as well as one‑on‑one field training sessions.
• Research and analyze subject matter, processes, and products to create tailored instructional materials, including manuals, exercises, and assessments.
• Apply adult learning theories and diverse instructional methodologies to create engaging, results‑focused learning experiences.
• Identify change‑management needs and proactively manage national training initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale sales training programs, preferably at a director or senior manager level.
• Strong ability to collaborate with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess training impact on sales productivity metrics such as close ratio, install size, and revenue.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
