About the role
Clay Lacy Aviation seeks a dedicated Director of Maintenance for its Global 7500 aircraft. This senior leader will oversee all maintenance activities, ensuring safety, compliance, and optimal dispatchability while supporting owners and crew.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as an active member of the Clay Lacy team, upholding the company’s vision, mission, and values.
- Be present for all aircraft arrivals and departures at the home base and surrounding airports.
- Maintain daily workflow, allocate maintenance resources, and perform light and moderate aircraft work, including pre‑ and post‑flight inspections.
- Coordinate moderate and heavy maintenance intervals, aligning with owner schedules and crew needs.
- Establish a culture where personnel feedback is captured and shared with aircraft management.
- Maintain records in accordance with FAR Part 91 or Part 135, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.
- Provide high‑level customer service to Clay Lacy and its clients.
- Develop vendor and supplier relationships, contracts, and support services.
- Represent Clay Lacy with FAA, trade associations, airport authorities, and community organizations.
- Promote safety as the resident expert on all related matters.
Required profile
- Extensive experience managing aircraft maintenance programs, preferably for high‑performance business jets.
- Strong knowledge of FAR Part 91 and Part 135 regulations.
- Proven ability to coordinate with owners, crew, and management to optimize aircraft availability.
- Leadership skills to foster high morale and effective communication within the maintenance team.

- Aircraft maintenance and inspection (light/moderate work, pre‑/post‑flight checks).
- FAR Part 91 compliance.
- FAR Part 135 compliance.
- Maintenance planning and resource allocation.
- Vendor and supplier relationship management.
