Director of Maintenance – Global 7500

About the role

Clay Lacy Aviation seeks a dedicated Director of Maintenance for its Global 7500 aircraft. This senior leader will oversee all maintenance activities, ensuring safety, compliance, and optimal dispatchability while supporting owners and crew.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as an active member of the Clay Lacy team, upholding the company’s vision, mission, and values.
• Be present for all aircraft arrivals and departures at the home base and surrounding airports.
• Maintain daily workflow, allocate maintenance resources, and perform light and moderate aircraft work, including pre‑ and post‑flight inspections.
• Coordinate moderate and heavy maintenance intervals, aligning with owner schedules and crew needs.
• Establish a culture where personnel feedback is captured and shared with aircraft management.
• Maintain records in accordance with FAR Part 91 or Part 135, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.
• Provide high‑level customer service to Clay Lacy and its clients.
• Develop vendor and supplier relationships, contracts, and support services.
• Represent Clay Lacy with FAA, trade associations, airport authorities, and community organizations.
• Promote safety as the resident expert on all related matters.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing aircraft maintenance programs, preferably for high‑performance business jets.
• Strong knowledge of FAR Part 91 and Part 135 regulations.
• Proven ability to coordinate with owners, crew, and management to optimize aircraft availability.
• Leadership skills to foster high morale and effective communication within the maintenance team.
