Director of Logistics

About the role

Maiden Home is seeking a Director of Logistics to own the strategy, structure, and execution of its end‑to‑end logistics network. Reporting to the SVP of Operations, you will be responsible for cost, quality, and reliability across every mile, provider, and market while supporting the brand’s luxury‑furniture experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define the strategic direction for the outsourced logistics network, including provider mix, geographic coverage, modal strategy, and build‑versus‑buy decisions.
• Manage all provider relationships across first‑mile freight, middle‑mile LTL/FTL carriers, and last‑mile white‑glove delivery specialists.
• Lead sourcing, RFPs, and contract negotiations, ensuring rate structures, service commitments, liability terms, and capacity guarantees are secured.
• Vet new providers for FMCSA compliance, operating authority, and insurance requirements.
• Develop and govern a provider accountability framework with scorecards, review cadences, and escalation protocols.
• Collaborate with commercial teams on capacity planning, forecasting volume by lane and season, and securing committed capacity.
• Design and own the order‑issue intake model, triage process, and escalation protocol, overseeing resolution of escalated issues through closure.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience building and scaling logistics networks for high‑value products.
• Strong negotiation and contract‑management skills.
• Ability to develop and enforce provider performance metrics and corrective action plans.
• Excellent analytical and forecasting capabilities.
• Leadership style that inspires cross‑functional teams and drives operational excellence.
