Director of Global Product Compliance & Sustainability

About the role

The Director of Product Compliance leads the global compliance function for both electronic and non‑electronic products, covering the full product lifecycle from ideation to post‑market surveillance. This senior position drives a unified compliance framework and works across R&D, Quality, Operations, Legal, EHS and Sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a global product compliance and sustainability strategy, establishing governance, decision rights and escalation paths.
• Oversee regulatory monitoring, impact assessments and multi‑year implementation road‑maps for hardware and software products.
• Lead supplier compliance data collection, contract clauses and continuous improvement of supply‑chain transparency.
• Develop and deliver global training, policies, SOPs and act as a Center of Excellence for compliance queries.

Required profile

• 10+ years of senior experience leading global product or regulatory compliance for multidisciplinary technology products.
• Proven ability to lead matrixed, cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
• Excellent executive‑level communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluency in English and experience in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of global product regulations and standards for electronics, mechanics and software.
• Expertise in cybersecurity, privacy, data‑protection and software safety requirements.
• Understanding of AI/algorithm governance and related compliance frameworks.
• Experience with product certification, conformity assessment and post‑launch compliance monitoring.
