Director of Global Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Global Manufacturing to lead the assembly, manufacturing and logistics functions for a high‑tech, precision‑manufacturing client in the Spokane, WA area. The role will shape the operational infrastructure required to scale the business and ensure products are delivered on time and to exacting quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct end‑to‑end manufacturing operations across internal teams and external contract manufacturers, covering planning, production, logistics and delivery.
• Manage global contract manufacturers, negotiate terms, monitor performance and enforce strict quality and technical standards.
• Lead demand planning and S&OP processes to balance forecasts, production schedules and inventory in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment.
• Oversee final assembly, calibration, testing and global distribution, guaranteeing precision standards and on‑time shipment.
• Drive new product launches, quality systems, cost‑optimization and continuous‑improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.

Required profile

• Extensive leadership experience in high‑tech, precision manufacturing such as electronics, aviation or sensors.
• Strong expertise in S&OP, demand planning, supply‑chain coordination, supplier cost control and end‑to‑end inventory management.
• Proven ability to scale low‑volume, high‑mix operations with Lean, Six Sigma and data‑driven decision making.
• Hands‑on oversight of final assembly, testing and repair processes with a focus on quality and safety.
• Solid financial acumen and cross‑functional leadership skills.
