Director of Enterprise Applications

About the role

The Director of Enterprise Applications provides operational and technical leadership for planning, implementing, supporting, and continuously improving Prairie View A&M University’s enterprise application portfolio, including the Ellucian Banner ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise application roadmap, overseeing Ellucian Banner modules, DegreeWorks, Recruiter, and related platforms.
• Manage daily operations, maintenance, patching, and upgrades of Banner ERP and its integrations, ensuring availability and data integrity.
• Lead business intelligence and analytics initiatives, coordinating data governance and compliance with Texas SB 475.
• Oversee application security, compliance (FERPA, GLBA, ADA), disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Supervise application staff and manage vendor/MSP relationships, monitoring service levels and contractual deliverables.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in higher‑education enterprise applications, especially Ellucian Banner.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, change management, and SaaS adoption.
• Experience managing large‑scale ERP operations, modernization projects, and cross‑functional stakeholder collaboration.

Required skills

• Ellucian Banner ERP (Student, Financial Aid, Finance) and related modules (DegreeWorks, Recruiter, Banner Document Management).
• API integration experience, including Ethos Integration Platform.
• Business intelligence and analytics platforms, data quality controls, and data governance.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST 800‑53, TAC 202) and compliance standards (FERPA, GLBA, ADA).
• Familiarity with AI, automation, robotic process automation, and cloud delivery models.
