Director of Engineering Effectiveness (Hybrid)

About the role

The Director of Engineering Effectiveness will lead a cross‑functional organization that drives how engineering teams deliver software, especially as AI tools become integral to the development lifecycle. Reporting to the CTO, this leader will shape the engineering operating model for an AI‑first future, overseeing delivery excellence, quality enablement, and AI enablement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering effectiveness agenda across the company, aligned with the CTO’s strategic priorities.
• Translate engineering leadership goals into operating rhythms, improvement plans, and measurable initiatives.
• Establish engineering scorecards and review cadences to increase visibility into delivery health, quality, and risk.
• Define common expectations and fit‑for‑purpose ways of working that incorporate AI‑driven code generation, testing, and workflow automation.
• Partner with product, platform, infrastructure, security, and planning leaders to embed cross‑cutting capabilities.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
• Successful background investigation.
• Residence near Horsham, PA to support a hybrid onsite schedule.
• Proven experience leading large‑scale engineering effectiveness or delivery excellence programs.
