Director of Construction Technology

About the role

Our client, an $800M general contractor with a strong Southeast presence, is seeking a Director of Construction Technology to shape and execute its technology strategy. Based in Charlotte, NC, you will act as the bridge between operations, pre‑construction, IT and executive leadership, driving the adoption of integrated digital solutions across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the company’s construction technology roadmap, aligning BIM, estimating and project‑management platforms with business goals.
• Evaluate, select and implement software solutions such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit/BIM 360, Procore, Bluebeam and related estimating and scheduling tools.
• Oversee integration of new systems to ensure data consistency, workflow efficiency and improved project outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate technical capabilities into operational value and measurable performance gains.
• Lead change‑management initiatives, training and support to foster organization‑wide adoption.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in construction, construction technology or related operational leadership roles.
• Proven track record implementing and integrating construction software across BIM, estimating and project‑management functions.
• Deep understanding of construction workflows from pre‑construction through closeout, preferably within a mid‑ to large‑size general contractor.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence senior leadership.
