Director of Communications

About the role

The Director of Communications leads day‑to‑day communications for the RELLIS Campus, enhancing awareness, visibility and stakeholder engagement across the ecosystem. Reporting to the System Offices, the role coordinates messaging for campus activities, partnerships, research, workforce development and strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and distribute content across web, social media, newsletters, media relations and stakeholder channels.
• Coordinate communications around five focus areas: transportation & logistics, national security & defense, energy production & reliability, quantum & digital infrastructure, and education & workforce development.
• Serve as the central communications hub, collaborating with agencies, institutions and system stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with multiple state agencies and institutions.
• Identify communication opportunities, gather information and execute activities with minimal oversight.
