Director of Client Services (Remote, Bay Area)

About the role

Virtasant is seeking a Director of Client Services to lead delivery for enterprise consulting engagements across the Bay Area. This remote‑first position involves direct client interaction, overseeing project execution, and driving account growth through high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex, enterprise‑level consulting engagements from kickoff through execution and long‑term growth.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for VP‑ and C‑level stakeholders, building trusted relationships.
• Unblock delivery challenges, manage risk, and keep projects aligned with outcomes.
• Develop and execute account strategies and growth plans in line with client goals and Virtasant objectives.
• Identify expansion opportunities, nurture relationships, and secure follow‑on work based on delivered value.
• Coach delivery and account teams to ensure alignment and sustained success.
• Oversee account operations including SOWs, forecasting, procurement, invoicing, and staffing.
• Translate technical delivery outcomes into business results for stakeholders.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in consulting or professional services, leading delivery in enterprise environments.
• Proven track record of owning large, complex programs and growing accounts through delivery rather than sales.
• Comfortable working in fast‑moving, lean settings and wearing multiple hats.
• Strong credibility with both executives and engineers, able to align both sides.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, handle push‑back, and set boundaries while maintaining relationships.
