Director of Brewing Operations

About the role

The Director of Brewing Operations will lead the end‑to‑end brewing, packaging and supply‑chain functions for Mountains Walking Brewery and New Hokkaido Bevco. Reporting to the founding CEO, this senior leader will shape strategy, drive production efficiency and ensure the highest quality standards across all facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop brewing, QA, packaging, maintenance and support teams.
• Collaborate with the CEO, Director of Sales and Head Brewer to define long‑term growth and innovation strategies.
• Oversee brewing, fermentation, packaging, quality control and logistics to meet production schedules.
• Manage the full supply chain—from ingredient sourcing to finished‑goods distribution—while controlling costs.
• Develop and monitor the operations budget, implement cost‑saving initiatives and report KPI performance.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations, including health, safety and environmental standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and R&D initiatives to keep the brewery at the forefront of industry trends.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a brewery or beverage manufacturing environment.
• Strong strategic planning and project‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to foster a collaborative culture.
• Track record of managing budgets, supply‑chain logistics and capital‑project execution.
