Director of Admissions

About the role

The Director of Admissions leads the institution’s enrollment strategy and execution, owning the full admissions function. This hands‑on leadership position requires both strategic vision and operational involvement in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own all admissions performance metrics, from inquiry generation to enrollment, and develop strategies to exceed targets.
• Build, lead and coach a high‑performing admissions team, setting clear expectations and accountability.
• Evaluate, redesign and continuously improve admissions processes, ensuring they are documented, scalable and supported by CRM/enrollment systems.
• Oversee day‑to‑day admissions operations, guaranteeing timely, accurate responses to prospective students.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining ethical enrollment practices.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid, Registrar and Academic leadership to align admissions commitments with institutional capabilities.
• Produce regular data‑driven reports, identify trends and present recommendations to senior leadership.
• Manage admissions‑related events such as campus visits, orientations and college fairs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in admissions, enrollment management or related sales functions.
• 2–3+ years of experience leading and managing teams.
• Proven track record of improving enrollment or conversion metrics.
• Experience in a regulated, higher‑education environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Experience with CRM or enrollment management systems.
