Director of Admissions

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a seasoned leader to direct admissions operations across its higher‑education system. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Director of Admissions will shape recruitment, enrollment, and compliance strategies while overseeing a dedicated team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage admissions activities for new and re‑entering students.
• Oversee departmental budgeting and financial operations.
• Ensure staff compliance with TCSG policies and procedures.
• Develop, review, and recommend policies to meet program goals.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting admissions.
• Design and execute comprehensive recruitment and marketing plans.
• Direct processing of applications, including special‑needs admissions.
• Coordinate student testing and provide clear information to applicants.
• Foster relationships with internal teams, external agencies, legislators, and the public.
• Support special events, projects, and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Extensive experience in admissions, enrollment management, or related higher‑education functions.
• Proven leadership and organizational abilities.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated decision‑making and problem‑solving capabilities.
