Director of Accounting (Controller)

About the role

Osmind is seeking a hands‑on accounting leader to build and own its in‑house accounting function. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Director of Accounting will drive month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close for three entities, ensure GAAP‑compliant reporting, and shape the technical foundation of a fast‑growing health‑tech company.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close across the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll for three entities.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, allocations and entity‑level reporting within Osmind’s MSO structure.
• Serve as the technical accounting resource for revenue recognition (ASC 606), RCM billing and pharma project revenue.
• Lead the transition from the current outsourced provider, capturing institutional knowledge and ensuring continuity.
• Design and document internal controls, accounting policies and repeatable procedures for a multi‑entity environment.
• Maintain day‑to‑day cash visibility and AP/AR oversight across all entities.
• Partner with the VP of Finance and senior leadership to provide clean, board‑ready financials.
• Drive migration from QuickBooks Online to a true multi‑entity platform, redesign the chart of accounts and introduce AI‑enabled automation tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading accounting functions in a multi‑entity, high‑growth environment.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition and technical accounting issues.
• Track record of building accounting processes from outsourced to in‑house.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to move between detailed reconciliations and strategic financial reporting.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online (Premium) and experience migrating to multi‑entity accounting systems.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled automation tools for accounting.
• Expertise in intercompany accounting, cash management, AP/AR processes.
