Director, Marketing Strategy

About the role

The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington seeks a senior marketing leader to shape and execute integrated marketing strategies that connect audiences with the Federation’s mission, opportunities, and impact. This role combines big‑picture strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, using data and audience insights to drive engagement and support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead integrated marketing strategy and planning for federation‑wide campaigns.
• Define campaign objectives, target audiences, channels, sequencing, and conversion tactics.
• Oversee execution across email, website, social media, digital advertising, and media relations.
• Use audience, channel, and CRM data to identify trends, segment constituents, and refine engagement journeys.
• Establish KPIs, measure performance, and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
• Test new channels, technologies and innovative marketing approaches.
• Serve as strategic advisor to senior leadership on audience engagement and channel strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex, integrated marketing initiatives for a large organization.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor marketing talent.
