Director, Institutional Business Development – North Region

About the role

Invesco is seeking a seasoned leader to head institutional business development and client coverage across the Northeast United States. The Director will focus on public, corporate, and nonprofit organizations with assets ranging from $3 billion to $20 billion, aligning Invesco’s capabilities with client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business development and client servicing for institutional clients in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the Regional Head to set and execute strategic priorities.
• Work closely with Client Service Manager, Associate, and Analyst to deliver value‑added services.
• Build deep understanding of each asset owner’s structure, decision‑making authority, and investment priorities.
• Execute sales plans, manage relationships efficiently, and maintain regular communication with asset owners.
• Coordinate client requests promptly and accurately.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in institutional client‑facing roles, preferably with existing relationships in the Northeast US.
• Residency in the region (strong preference for NYC) to enable in‑person coverage.
• Financial services or investment management background with knowledge of the institutional ecosystem, sponsors, consultants, and competitors.
• Experience raising closed‑end funds, ideally in real estate or private credit.
• Team‑oriented, open‑minded, and willing to mentor junior teammates.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of institutional investment processes and stakeholder dynamics.
• Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies for large‑scale asset owners.
• Strong understanding of real estate and private credit fund structures.
