Director, HNW Wealth Planner

About the role

As a Director, HNW Wealth Planner you will provide advanced financial planning, cross‑border tax strategy, and holistic wealth guidance to high‑net‑worth (HNW) and ultra‑high‑net‑worth (UHNW) clients. Working within a broker‑dealer environment, you will partner with financial advisors, relationship managers, and product teams to deliver customized solutions that address multi‑jurisdictional tax considerations, estate planning, wealth transfer, philanthropic strategies, and investment‑related tax optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive, goals‑based wealth plans for HNW/UHNW individuals, families, and closely held entities in the U.S.
• Analyze client objectives such as retirement, cash flow, liquidity events, education funding, risk management, and multigenerational wealth transfer.
• Design tax‑aware portfolio constructions, asset allocation strategies, and alternative investment solutions.
• Prepare client‑ready deliverables including financial plans, scenario analyses, and portfolio strategy presentations.
• Provide advanced U.S. federal and state tax guidance, including income, capital gains, estate, and gift tax planning.
• Collaborate with CPAs, attorneys, and external partners on trusts, gifting programs, and business succession planning.
• Support clients with cross‑border exposure by integrating international tax considerations.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in financial planning for HNW/UHNW clients.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and international tax regulations.
• Ability to communicate complex financial and tax concepts to sophisticated global clients.
• Experience working in a broker‑dealer or wealth‑management environment.
