Director, Government Strategic Partnerships & Contracts

About the role

The Director will own and manage Reed Tech’s strategic relationship with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This senior position focuses on commercial oversight, contract management, negotiation, and expanding partnerships with government patent offices worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary senior point of contact for USPTO commercial and contractual matters.
• Lead all contract negotiations, renewals, amendments, and extensions with the USPTO.
• Own commercial terms, pricing structures, and financial performance of USPTO agreements.
• Ensure compliance with federal contracting requirements and internal governance standards.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key USPTO stakeholders.
• Identify and develop growth opportunities, both within the USPTO account and with other government patent offices globally.
• Drive new revenue through account expansion and new government partnerships.
• Anticipate and proactively manage partnership risks.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance.
• Proven commercial acumen and government contracting expertise.
• Extensive senior stakeholder management experience within government institutions.
• Strong understanding of the government market landscape and relevant technology trends.
• Comfort operating in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Willingness to work on a hybrid schedule in or near Horsham, PA (or home‑based in NJ or the Northeastern U.S.).
