Director, Field Sales – Navy and Marine Corps

About the role

The Director of Field Sales for the Navy and Marine Corps is a senior player‑coach leader who drives personal sales while guiding a team of field sales managers and representatives. This role combines direct customer engagement with strategic territory and pipeline management to achieve revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute directly to revenue generation and influence overall field sales performance across the service vertical.
• Partner with the VP, Business Unit Leader to execute sales strategy, territory coverage, and performance priorities.
• Coach sales managers and representatives on deal strategy, escalation support, and execution discipline.
• Develop and execute territory and account plans aligned with company objectives.
• Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities, quotes, and orders and drive progression to order execution.
• Maintain direct relationships with customers, end‑users, contracting offices, and program stakeholders; conduct regular in‑person visits and briefings.
• Translate customer requirements into product and service solutions and serve as the primary field point of contact for assigned accounts.
• Monitor DoD budget cycles, appropriations, and funding mechanisms to anticipate buying behavior.
• Collaborate with inside sales, contracts, pricing, and operations teams to support order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Senior sales leader with proven experience in defense or government sales.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales teams and drive accountability.
• Strong understanding of DoD procurement processes, budget cycles, and funding mechanisms.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills with experience engaging senior military and contracting officials.
• Ability to create and execute territory and account plans that align with corporate objectives.
