About the role
The Director, EPIC Lab Operations leads end‑to‑end lab activities to ensure safe, high‑quality, and efficient production execution in a semiconductor environment. This role partners with engineering and customers to meet operational objectives while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Drive daily, weekly and quarterly production targets and maximize equipment utilization.
- Ensure strict quality standards to protect wafer integrity and prevent contamination.
- Lead 24/7 lab operations, including Production Control Center and cleanroom floor teams.
- Serve as primary contact for customer and tenant concerns, ensuring timely issue resolution.
- Lead root‑cause investigations using 5 Whys, 8D and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor Safety, Quality and Output (SQO) metrics and report performance to Fab Manager.
- Apply Lean and Gemba practices to identify process improvements and reduce waste.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years experience in semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom operations.
- Proven leadership of operations teams in high‑volume or R&D fab environments.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or similar process‑improvement methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
