Director, Enterprise Systems & AI Architecture

About the role

Bureau Veritas is building an operating system for trust that scales expert judgement across the company. As Director of Enterprise Systems & AI Architecture you will define how data platforms, APIs, cloud infrastructure and AI services fit together and ensure they integrate with business applications. You will lead the design of a shared AI backbone that supports multiple business lines while meeting strict auditability and traceability requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own the integration of data, APIs, infrastructure and AI across all AI builds and sign off interfaces between independently owned systems.
• Build the shared backbone for orchestration, retrieval, grounding, tool surfaces, evaluation harnesses and AI serving.
• Define standards for when to use deterministic rules, small in‑house models or large foundation models.
• Hire, lead and mentor a team of solution and database architects and conduct design reviews.
• Collaborate with business and product leaders to bring AI solutions to production and ensure alignment with security and compliance policies.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, software engineering, AI platforms or digital transformation.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
• Strong communication, leadership and strategic planning skills.
• Hands‑on experience with AI retrieval, grounding, evaluation and the judgment to select appropriate model types.
