Director, Core Platforms Architecture

About the role

The Director, Core Platforms Architecture will lead the design, operation, and evolution of Constellation Brands' SAP landscape. This senior position ensures the platform’s availability, security, and performance while guiding a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee availability, continuity, integrity, security, and recovery of all SAP components.
• Manage the full lifecycle of SAP systems, including service packs, version upgrades, and preventive/corrective maintenance via change‑management processes.
• Influence product road‑maps to maximize value from vendor solutions.
• Lead a team covering SAP BASIS, HANA database, and SAP Security.
• Drive operational excellence with Level III incident and problem management, root‑cause analysis, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with Core Product, Platform Management, and Enterprise Architecture teams to deliver solutions on budget and schedule.
• Establish best practices for monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP environment and transport system.
• Maintain performance, capacity, and licensing plans aligned with the product roadmap.
• Define data‑retention, archiving, and disaster‑recovery strategies and oversee their implementation.
• Assess cybersecurity threats, develop remediation strategies, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing SAP platform teams.
• Deep knowledge of SAP road‑maps and emerging technologies.
• Strong analytical skills for capacity planning, performance optimization, and security governance.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional product road‑maps and drive architectural decisions.
