About the role
The Director, Content Royalties & Analysis leads royalty compliance, analytics, and commercial support for LexisNexis Legal & Professional’s global product portfolio, including AI‑enabled offerings such as Lexis+ with Protégé. This high‑visibility position ensures accurate royalty calculations, drives compliance across complex licensing environments, and partners with cross‑functional teams on product launches and system transformations.
Key responsibilities
- Own royalty business‑event processes, reconcile recognized revenue to royalty‑eligible revenue, and maintain strong controls as volume grows.
- Lead audit programs covering royalty calculations, AI usage restrictions, and licensor agreement compliance, ensuring SOX and internal audit adherence.
- Define royalty and compliance requirements for new AI‑enabled products and international expansions, partnering with Content and Product teams.
- Lead royalty workstreams during major system migrations (e.g., PeopleSoft/Fusion, Salesforce CPQ, WAM, PIM) and oversee testing, sign‑off, and post‑go‑live monitoring.
- Provide commercial and royalty insight for licensor renegotiations, prepare business cases, and support strategic content investments.
- Manage and develop a team of financial analysts, setting objectives and coaching for technical depth and commercial judgment.
Required profile
- 8+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including at least 2 years of people management.
- Proven expertise in royalty, licensing, or content‑rights management within a publishing, media, or legal‑information environment.
- Strong analytical ability to reconcile high transaction volumes across systems and currencies.
- Experience delivering results in complex, cross‑functional projects and system transformations.
