Director - Commercial

About the role

William Grant & Sons is seeking a Director - Commercial to lead its commercial operations across California, Hawaii, Arizona, Washington and Alaska. You will work with a high‑growth portfolio of premium brands such as Hendrick's Gin, Tullamore D.E.W, Glenfiddich Whiskey and Milagro Tequila, supporting the Vice President – Commercial and driving market performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the distributor relationship division for the assigned territories.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of internal commercial sales professionals.
• Analyze market performance, track competitive activity and ensure internal sales goals are met.
• Direct and monitor pricing compliance with company guidelines.
• Contribute to long‑term strategic planning focused on sustainable profit and growth over a five‑year horizon.

Required profile

• 10+ years of leadership experience in the alcohol beverage or spirits industry.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Track record of coaching teams and delivering results under challenging conditions.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred.
• Strong financial, budgeting and market‑dynamics acumen.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional air travel, and a valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, data analysis).
