Director, Business Development – Commerce & Payments Partnerships

About the role

Roku is looking for a Director of Business Development to own the sourcing, negotiation and closing of commercial partnerships that enable seamless purchase experiences for households across Latin America. The role will start in Mexico and expand to Brazil and other LATAM markets, turning tactical vendor deals into strategic growth drivers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, structure and close partnerships with regional acquirers, fintech wallets, alternative payment methods and gift‑card providers.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, consumer incentives, co‑marketing campaigns and volume‑based rebates tailored to each market.
• Develop partner‑funded promotional programs that lower barriers to first‑time purchases on Roku.
• Create repeatable partnership frameworks, deal structures and go‑to‑market playbooks for Mexico, Brazil and future LATAM expansions.
• Manage multi‑country acquirer relationships and ensure alignment with advertising, payments, engineering, product, legal and finance teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex, multi‑market commercial partnerships in payments or fintech.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to craft mutually beneficial deal structures.
• Comfort operating in high‑visibility, cross‑functional environments.
• Passion for scaling commerce ecosystems globally.
