Digital Content Editor

About the role

Inspira Education is seeking a senior Editor, Digital Content to set the quality standard for all published material. You will work closely with coaches, subject‑matter experts, and the content team to transform drafts into polished, publish‑ready pieces across blogs, guides, and marketing assets.

Key responsibilities

• Edit copy at the sentence and structural level, correcting grammar, spelling, factual errors, and formatting issues.
• Rewrite passive voice, eliminate jargon, and tighten bloated sentences for clarity.
• Verify heading hierarchy, trace claims to primary sources, and ensure proper noun definitions on first mention.
• Apply and evolve Inspira’s house style, flagging deviations to help writers internalize guidelines.
• Optimize content for both readers and AI search systems by matching format to intent, using clear subject‑predicate‑object statements, and providing descriptive link text.
• Design repeatable editorial workflows, give actionable feedback, and audit top‑performing content to inform strategy.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional editing experience in digital publishing or content marketing, with portfolio samples.
• Proven ability to own and shape a house style guide.
• Strong judgment to balance rules with flexibility and to push back diplomatically with experts.
• Curiosity about AI‑driven search and practical experience adapting content for it.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple pieces and stakeholders in a fast‑paced startup.
