Digital Assurance & Transparency Intern – Summer 2028 (Washington DC)

About the role

As a Digital Assurance & Transparency (DAT) intern at PwC in Washington, DC, you will spend the summer of 2028 gaining hands‑on experience in the firm’s Assurance practice. Working alongside experienced auditors, you will observe and support digital‑focused audit engagements, learning the methodologies and tools PwC uses to deliver transparent, high‑quality assurance services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams in executing digital assurance tasks and evaluating internal controls.
• Conduct basic research to support audit decisions and risk analysis.
• Help apply auditing methodologies and cloud‑engineering principles to improve audit efficiency.
• Participate in the review of governance frameworks and compliance protocols.
• Collaborate with team members, ask questions, and contribute to quality deliverables for clients.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MIS, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam (or CISA licensure) before transitioning to a full‑time role at PwC.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
