About the role
The Diet Aide I supports the hospital’s food service operations by washing, sanitizing, and delivering patient meals and cafeteria trays. This part‑time position works irregular shifts to ensure timely service and patient satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, sanitize, and air‑dry dishes, pots, and pans according to assignment.
- Deliver patient meals promptly to designated areas.
- Assemble patient trays based on menu specifications.
- Complete temperature and cleaning logs to verify proper sanitation.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment.
Required profile
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Up to 3 months experience in food service (on‑the‑job training acceptable).
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, perform simple math, and lift up to 40 lb.
- Comfort standing and walking for long periods and working in a kitchen environment.
