Diesel Mechanic – Full-Time

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for its Norwalk, OH Service Center. You will perform day‑to‑day maintenance on a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers and related equipment, ensuring reliable operation and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance and minor to major repairs on diesel engines.
• Service AC and electrical systems on trucks and trailers.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies and perform welding tasks as needed.
• Use Cetaris work‑order software to track and document repairs.
• Perform inspections and repairs on Class 8 commercial trucks and trailers.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair.
• Ability to handle major mechanical repairs and lift 50 lb.
• Own set of tools.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Experience with Cummins and Detroit engines is a plus.
