Diesel Mechanic – Full-Time (Findlay, OH)

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join its Findlay, OH Service Center. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, with various shift options, and focuses on maintaining a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on diesel engines and related systems.
• Diagnose and complete major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, lift gates, and forklifts.
• Service air‑conditioning, electrical components, and hydraulic systems as needed.
• Maintain and repair overhead doors, dollies, and perform welding tasks when required.
• Utilize the Cetaris system to document work orders and track maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
• Experience with Cummins and Detroit engine platforms preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lb and work safely in a shop environment.
• Own set of professional tools.
• Class A CDL preferred but not mandatory.
