Diesel Mechanic – Full-Time (2nd/3rd Shift)

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics for its Hatfield, PA service center. The position involves day‑to‑day maintenance of a fleet that includes Class 8 trucks, trailers, and occasionally forklifts, ensuring reliable operation through preventative care and repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on diesel engines.
• Service Class 8 trucks, trailers, lift gates, dollies, overhead doors, and perform welding tasks as required.
• Diagnose and repair air‑conditioning and electrical systems.
• Use Cetaris software to manage work orders and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Required profile

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lb and possess personal tools.
• Experience with AC and electrical systems on heavy‑duty equipment.
• Familiarity with trailer preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Preferred certification: LPMECH.
