Diesel Mechanic – 3rd Shift

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join its Seekonk, MA Service Center on the 3rd shift (1:00 AM – 10:30 AM). This full‑time position offers a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package after the first 90 days.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and occasional forklifts.
• Maintain and repair trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding as required.
• Use Cetaris software to create and track work orders.
• Ensure all equipment complies with safety and operational standards.

Required profile

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Ability to handle major engine repairs, AC, and electrical systems.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb and possession of personal tools.
• Class A CDL and experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks are preferred.
