Diagnostic Data Entry Specialist – Full‑Time

About the role

The Diagnostic Data Entry Specialist (DDES) provides essential data entry support to pathologists within Schweiger’s dermatology laboratories. Working Monday‑Friday, the DDES ensures that diagnostic codes and test orders are accurately entered into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) so that clinical teams can process and review cases efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Receive diagnostic codes and test orders from pathologists, either verbally or via handwritten requisitions.
• Enter orders and codes into the LIS, generating the appropriate diagnostic macro.
• Close cases in the system, adding them to the pathologist’s review queue for sign‑out.
• Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and laboratory compliance guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to cover shifts and ensure continuous workflow.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum); Associate Degree preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to follow SOPs and maintain a compliant work environment.
• Availability for full‑time hours (30+ hours/week) Monday‑Friday, 10:00 am – 6:30 pm.

Required skills

• Accurate data entry and computer literacy.
