DG Operator

About the role

Vertiv is seeking a DG Operator to join its mission‑critical infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining diesel generators that support data centers, communication networks and industrial facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor diesel generators to ensure continuous power supply.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Troubleshoot and resolve generator faults promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of operating parameters, maintenance activities and incidents.
• Adhere to safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to support system upgrades.

Required profile

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Experience operating or maintaining diesel generator equipment in an industrial setting.
• Strong focus on safety, reliability and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of diesel generator systems and controls.
• Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
• Understanding of safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
