DevOps Engineer – Onsite in Dallas, TX

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Dallas team on a full‑time onsite basis. You will own the design, implementation, and optimization of our CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring reliability and security for multiple complex applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines using YAML best practices.
• Provision and manage self‑hosted GitLab instances and runners with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Apply GitOps principles to manage infrastructure and environment configurations.
• Automate operational tasks, incident remediation, and monitoring integrations (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Harden GitLab for enterprise use (SAML/SSO, LDAP, RBAC, backup/restore).
• Develop runbooks, wiki pages, and pipeline templates for cross‑team adoption.
• Provide 24/7 on‑call support and troubleshoot CI/CD or migration incidents.

Required profile

• 8+ years of administration experience across complex applications and tools.
• Strong communication skills with a proven record of cross‑team collaboration.
• Experience working with multiple Software Development Lifecycle methodologies.

Required skills

• GitLab administration (self‑managed, runners, groups, projects, permissions).
• Artifact repositories: Artifactory, Xray, SonarQube.
• Infrastructure as code: Terraform, Ansible.
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud.
• CI/CD pipeline design using YAML and GitOps practices.
• Monitoring and observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
• Enterprise security integrations: SAML/SSO, LDAP, RBAC.
