DevOps Engineer

About the role

The DevOps Engineer will work remotely on a contract basis, partnering with engineering teams to design, implement and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure. The role focuses on Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipeline automation, system administration and continuous improvement of reliability, security and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar tools.
• Design, build and optimize continuous integration and delivery pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Administer Linux‑based environments, including networking, security hardening and performance tuning.
• Automate deployments and create tooling with Python, Bash or Go.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues across environments and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with developers to streamline workflows and ensure best‑practice alignment.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in DevOps practices, infrastructure automation and Linux system administration.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
