DevOps Engineer II

About the role

Firefly Aerospace is seeking a DevOps Engineer II to join its growing infrastructure team. In this role you will design, implement, and maintain DevOps solutions that enable rapid, reliable delivery of aerospace software and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform for cloud and on‑premises resources.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Create automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues on Linux‑based systems.
• Provide technical support to development teams, perform root‑cause analysis, and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Administer Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) across development, staging, and production environments.
• Manage Git version control, implement branching strategies, and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance and security controls.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting.
• Proven ability to build and manage Terraform modules and Jenkins pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with Git workflows and repository management.
• Capability to troubleshoot infrastructure failures and implement preventive measures.
• Experience documenting processes and working with cross‑functional engineering teams.
