DevOps Engineer – Classified Environment (TS/SCI)

About the role

DPG is looking for a strong DevOps Engineer to join our team supporting a customer in a classified environment. This hands‑on role works alongside infrastructure engineers to continuously improve systems and services across security, automation, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support transition of a tightly coupled system and assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Leverage best practices to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to design and implement mission‑critical solutions.
• Integrate security and compliance services such as encryption and access management, and provide operational platform support.

Required profile

• US Citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance and CI Polygraph.
• DoD 8570 IAT2 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
• 7‑10 years of Linux system administration and DevOps experience, including Red Hat Linux administration.

• Rancher
• Bash and Python scripting
• Automation tools: Ansible, Chef, Puppet
• VMware ESXi and vCenter, AWS cloud services
• Version control and CI/CD tools: Git, Artifactory, Bitbucket, Jira
• NAS and SAN administration
• Agile/Scrum development methodology
