Development Manager, Foundation Relations

About the role

Futures Without Violence is seeking a Development Manager to lead foundation relations. The role combines grant writing, funder stewardship, and pipeline development to expand the organization’s funding base.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and shepherd grant proposals, reports, and letters of inquiry in partnership with program and grants staff.
• Ensure accurate, complete portal submissions that meet each funder’s requirements.
• Manage day‑to‑day relationships with a defined portfolio of foundation funders, tracking correspondence, acknowledgments, and reporting.
• Maintain comprehensive records of foundation interactions and pipeline activity in Salesforce.
• Conduct prospect research to identify new foundation opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
• Support senior leadership in preparing for donor meetings, events, and board engagements.
