Developer Advocate

About the role

Sent provides a unified API for sending A2P messages via SMS, WhatsApp, and RCS. The company is expanding its developer ecosystem and needs a Developer Advocate to be the technical voice for developers, creating content, demos, and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Publish technical content on a regular cadence, including tutorials, comparison posts, deep‑dives, working demos, and sample apps.
• Maintain a strong personal presence on X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other developer media channels, building an audience of developers interested in messaging infrastructure.
• Represent Sent at developer conferences, meetups, hackathons, and in‑house events, sometimes speaking or running a booth.
• Host and co‑host strategic hackathons and events to embed Sent in the developer ecosystem.
• Own the SDK and quick‑start developer experience end‑to‑end, feeding friction back to engineering.
• Run office hours, livestreams, or other formats to engage builders with the product.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience as a developer, with 1‑2 years in DevRel, developer marketing, or a public‑facing technical role.
• Demonstrated ability to ship code quickly and document integrations clearly.
• A public portfolio of technical content such as blog posts, repositories, talks, or videos.
• Strong writing skills capable of explaining complex flows without confusing readers.
• Comfort with messaging, telecom, or API infrastructure is a plus but not required.
