Detox Nurse

About the role

CRI‑Help is seeking a full‑time Detox Nurse to join its newly opened Lincoln Heights facility in Los Angeles. The nurse will oversee client health during detoxification, support medication management, and collaborate with the Detox, Intake, and Technician teams to ensure safe, evidence‑based care.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess clients throughout the detox process, recording vital signs and clinical observations.
• Provide nursing care during pre‑admission, admission, treatment, and discharge phases.
• Train and supervise Detox Technicians and Residential Support Technicians on medication administration.
• Receive physician orders, transcribe them into client charts, and observe client self‑administration of medications.
• Evaluate medication reactions, adherence, and adjust care plans as needed.
• Clear clients for participation in kitchen duties, gym use, and other activities.
• Review medication tapers, logs, and utilization reviews with payers.
• Maintain documentation, incident reports, and achieve a minimum of 65% DMC billing productivity each month.
• Assist with general unit duties and any additional tasks assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Required profile

• Current RN license in California.
• Experience in substance‑use disorder or medical detox settings.
• Ability to interpret and implement physician orders.
• Strong documentation and billing accuracy.
