About the role

Höweler + Yoon, a Boston‑based architectural design studio, is seeking a motivated Designer to join its 20‑plus member team. The role involves contributing to research‑driven, socially engaged projects across multiple scales, from concept through construction documents.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual design sketches, develop project narratives, and create presentation materials.
• Coordinate and execute assigned portions of project documentation, ensuring functional, spatial, and aesthetic quality.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors during meetings and coordination sessions.

Required profile

• Professional degree (B.Arch or M.Arch) with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience preparing and developing drawing sets and coordinating with consultant teams.
• Strong design and graphic abilities, capable of handling complex projects from pre‑design to construction documents.
• Advanced digital modeling and rendering skills, strong organization, deadline management, and flexibility.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with clients, consultants, leadership, and design teams.
• Proactive work ethic and self‑motivation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in Rhino.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite.
