Designer / Architectural Associate (Unlicensed)

About the role

HGLV Architects is seeking a motivated Designer / Architectural Associate (unlicensed) to join its 14‑person team in Huntington, NY. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial, mixed‑use and residential projects in a collaborative studio environment.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of project development, from concept through construction documentation.
• Prepare construction drawings and assist with design tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with licensed architects, interior designers and other team members to deliver high‑quality design solutions.
• Support the team by handling a variety of tasks and maintaining a strong work ethic.

Required profile

• Accredited degree in architecture (B.Arch. or M.Arch).
• 0–5 years of relevant experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Kind, friendly attitude and willingness to assist the team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ArchiCAD or equivalent architectural software.
• Experience working on Mac‑based platforms (preferred).
