Designer / Architectural Associate (Unlicensed)

About the role

HGLV Architects is seeking a motivated Designer / Architectural Associate (Unlicensed) to join its 14‑person studio in Huntington, NY. This junior‑level position offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial, mixed‑use, and residential projects while developing design and technical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in all phases of project development, from concept through construction documentation.
• Produce visual presentations, drawings, and written reports for clients and consultants.
• Collaborate with licensed architects, interior designers, and APs to ensure design excellence.
• Support the team with a variety of tasks, including construction drawing preparation.

Required profile

• Accredited degree in architecture (B.Arch. or M.Arch).
• 0‑5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional work ethic, friendly demeanor, and willingness to assist teammates.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ArchiCAD or an equivalent BIM tool.
• Experience working on a Mac platform is preferred.
