Design Professional I – Architecture

About the role

Freese and Nichols is looking for a recent Architecture graduate to join its Dallas office as a Design Professional I. You will work on sustainable community projects, supporting design, technical excellence, and business development while gaining hands‑on experience in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior staff to develop plan layouts, circulation studies, and space utilization analyses.
• Create conceptual sketches and design documentation for infrastructure projects.
• Assist in preparing presentations and reports for clients and internal teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure design solutions meet project goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited college or university.
• Previous internship or co‑op experience in an architectural or engineering firm.
• Active involvement in a professional or technical student organization.
• Strong interest in sustainable, livable community design.
