Design Engineer

About the role

The Design Engineer will lead complex mechanical design projects from concept through production, ensuring products are safe, reliable, and manufacturable. Using advanced calculations and CAD tools, you will create and validate 3D models, perform stress and vibration analyses, and support prototype testing and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering calculations using algebraic, trigonometric, and geometric formulas.
• Create accurate product configurations from standard engineering data.
• Develop detailed 3D models, drawings, and assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Conduct stress and vibration simulations to verify structural integrity.
• Lead major design initiatives, coordinating designers and drafters.
• Oversee new product designs through all manufacturing stages.
• Supervise experimental manufacturing, testing, and validation of prototypes.
• Assist with assembly, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve design issues and optimize manufacturability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of mechanical design or engineering experience.
• Strong background in mechanical design principles and product development.
• Proven ability to manage time and multiple tasks to meet project schedules.

Required skills

• SolidWorks CAD proficiency.
• Stress analysis and vibration analysis expertise.
• Mechanical design and structural equipment design knowledge.
• Experience with pneumatic system design (plus).
• Experience with hydraulic system design (plus).
• Knowledge of electrical design using SolidWorks (plus).
