Design Engineer II

About the role

The Design Engineer II will lead the integration, design, and development of brake and clutch products within Regal Rexnord's portfolio. Working onsite at a designated office, you will support value‑analysis initiatives, product improvements, and customer‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate and collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams.
• Own technical content for the electro‑mechanical brake product portfolio.
• Lead VAVE initiatives and product‑improvement projects.
• Prepare customer reports documenting verification and validation activities.
• Support customers with new applications and custom design solutions.
• Create and review accurate engineering drawings, applying GD&T principles.
• Perform tolerance stack‑up calculations and apply material, torque, fit, temperature, and performance standards.
• Source, validate, and support components in collaboration with test‑lab technicians.
• Prepare bills of material (BOMs) and release engineering change notices (ECNs).
• Utilize 3D solid‑modeling CAD software and finite element analysis (FEA) tools for design and analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product or process development of industrial products.
• Hands‑on ability to build, develop, and troubleshoot new products.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings, technical manuals, and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
