Design Associate – Architecture (Mid‑Level)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Design Associate to join our Springfield office, working on community‑focused architecture projects. You will collaborate with project leaders and interdisciplinary teams to turn design concepts into presentation materials and construction documents, gaining exposure to a variety of project types and on‑site work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concept diagrams, renderings and graphics for early‑design client presentations.
• Create and refine floor plans, sections, elevations, and construction documentation under project architect guidance.
• Research and specify products and materials for project use.
• Document site and building conditions.
• Support construction administration by responding to RFIs and preparing supplemental sketches (ASIs).

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in an architecture design firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, building science, sustainability, codes, zoning and planning.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Springfield, MA.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Working knowledge of SketchUp.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
