Design Architect – Advanced Facilities

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Design Architect to join its Advanced Facilities group in Pittsburgh, PA. You will contribute to the design of cutting‑edge mission‑critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and life‑science facilities, supporting business development and ensuring high design quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, layout, and detailed architectural design and analysis.
• Coordinate design and construction activities, conduct studies and various analyses.
• Mentor junior team members, provide technical guidance and coaching.
• Check own work for accuracy and quality; review and verify the work of peers.
• Lead a team of designers on assigned projects, delivering layout, construction drawings, specifications, and models.
• Participate in project meetings, resolve interdisciplinary concerns, and champion quality reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• Professional Architecture license in the United States.
• 3–7 years of architectural experience, including work with building codes and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage workload and meet commitments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
