Deputy Athletic Director & Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a seasoned executive to serve as Deputy Athletic Director and Chief Financial Officer. Reporting directly to the Director of Athletics, this senior leader will join the athletics leadership team and guide the financial strategy of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of all financial operations for the Department of Athletics.
• Lead budget planning, forecasting, and fiscal management activities.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with state, federal, and institutional policies.
• Collaborate with senior athletics staff to align financial resources with program goals.
• Manage day‑to‑day financial transactions, audits, and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in athletics administration.
• Strong background in financial management, reporting, and compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
